KOREAN MUSEUM ACQUIRE MAJOR WORK BY ROBIN ELEY

Daejeon, South Korea

Oct. 29, 2017

The Daejeon Museum of Art in South Korea has announced the acquisition of a major work by Los Angeles based, Australian artist Robin Eley. The painting, titled It's not so perfect / Do you understand velocity? featured in Eley's recent exhibition Loss/Less at 101/EXHIBIT in Los Angeles in 2017.

The acquisition comes a year after the artist featured prominently in the museum's  2015 exhibition 21st Century Hyperrealism, which featured other internationally renowned artists Chuck Close, Sam Jinks and Carole Feuerman, and toured South Korea for a year.

Along with Eley's painting, the museum also announced the purchase of Earth's Creation II by Australian indigenous artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye.
